:: How To Get to Galway ::

From Dublin

1. Citylink Bus

There are buses hourly from Dublin Airport or Dublin City (Burgh Quay). Walk along the road parallel to the river, in front of the tall Heineken building, moving away from the bridge. You will find a pole with 'Citylink' sign.

The price for a ticket is 15-19 Euros (depending on what type of ticket are you buying. Always show your student ID when buying. The trip takes around 4 hours. For the timetable, please refer to Citylink's website.


2. Go Bus

Only available from Dublin Airport. Their route bypasses the City, so it takes a shorter time to reach Galway.However, the number of trips is lesser than Citylink. Please click here for the timetable. The ticket price is 15-25 Euros.


3. By train

This is the fastest way to reach Galway. It takes around 2 hours and 45 minutes. The ticket price is 31-48 Euros for a return ticket. Student travel card holders can get the 31 Euros price.

4. By car

Please refer to google maps or other sources for directions. The duration of the trip is approximately 3 hours.

You can also use Bus Eireann but it will take a longer time. Citylink and GoBus is faster. But u may check their website, just in case the their timing is better. (in terms of departure and arrival times)

From Cork

1. Bus Eireann

The price is 20-26.10 Euros. It take approximately 4 hours and 25 minutes. You are advised to take the (latest) 6.25pm bus on Saturday (24th of Jan) as the earliest bus that departs on Sunday will arrive at Galway at 11.45 am. To look for the schedule, visit buseireann's website and look for Route 51 of the Expressway Services.


2. By Car

Please refer to google maps or other sources. It takes approximately 3 Hours (according to Google Maps)
